EVV requires GPS verification to confirm you're at the client's location.
How GPS Verification Works
- When you clock in, your GPS coordinates are captured
- These are compared to the client's registered address
- Must be within acceptable distance (usually 100 meters)
- Same verification occurs at clock out
GPS Best Practices
- Ensure location services are enabled on your phone
- Allow a moment for GPS to get accurate fix
- Be at the client's actual location (not parking lot)
- If indoors, try near a window for better signal
Troubleshooting GPS Issues
- No signal: Move to an open area, wait 30 seconds
- Wrong location: Restart the app and try again
- Consistently off: Report to supervisor for address correction
