eMAR Overview

The Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) helps staff safely administer and document medications.

What is eMAR?

eMAR is an electronic system that:

  • Lists all medications for each resident
  • Shows scheduled administration times
  • Tracks when medications were given
  • Documents who administered them
  • Alerts to missed or late doses

Accessing eMAR

  1. Log into the Staff app
  2. Select your facility
  3. Tap "eMAR" from the dashboard
  4. Select the resident

Understanding the MAR Screen

  • Medication name: Drug and dosage
  • Schedule: When to administer
  • Status: Given, Due, Late, Refused
  • Notes: Special instructions
