The Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) helps staff safely administer and document medications.
What is eMAR?
eMAR is an electronic system that:
- Lists all medications for each resident
- Shows scheduled administration times
- Tracks when medications were given
- Documents who administered them
- Alerts to missed or late doses
Accessing eMAR
- Log into the Staff app
- Select your facility
- Tap "eMAR" from the dashboard
- Select the resident
Understanding the MAR Screen
- Medication name: Drug and dosage
- Schedule: When to administer
- Status: Given, Due, Late, Refused
- Notes: Special instructions
