GPS Verification

EVV requires GPS verification to confirm you're at the client's location.

How GPS Verification Works

  • When you clock in, your GPS coordinates are captured
  • These are compared to the client's registered address
  • Must be within acceptable distance (usually 100 meters)
  • Same verification occurs at clock out

GPS Best Practices

  1. Ensure location services are enabled on your phone
  2. Allow a moment for GPS to get accurate fix
  3. Be at the client's actual location (not parking lot)
  4. If indoors, try near a window for better signal

Troubleshooting GPS Issues

  • No signal: Move to an open area, wait 30 seconds
  • Wrong location: Restart the app and try again
  • Consistently off: Report to supervisor for address correction
