Route Navigation & GPS Tracking

Learn how GPS tracking works and how to navigate your assigned routes efficiently.

Starting Your Route

  1. Tap "Start Route" on the home screen
  2. Confirm your bus number and route assignment
  3. GPS tracking begins automatically
  4. Your location is transmitted every 30 seconds to the tracking server

During Your Route

  • Blue dot: Your current location
  • Green markers: Upcoming stops
  • Orange markers: Completed stops
  • Route line: Your planned path

Stop Arrival

When you arrive at a stop:

  1. The app detects your proximity automatically
  2. Parents receive "Bus Arriving" notification
  3. Confirm students boarding/exiting
  4. Tap "Depart" to continue to next stop

GPS Troubleshooting

  • No GPS signal: Ensure location is enabled in phone settings
  • Location jumping: Move to an open area away from tall buildings
  • Battery drain: Keep phone plugged into vehicle charger

⚠️ Important

GPS tracking continues in background. Do not force-close the app during your route.
